Corporate catering differs from private catering in one respect: there is a schedule. A company event almost always runs to a programme, presentation, dinner, then the free part of the evening, and the food has to be ready at the right moment rather than waiting on the table. So for corporate bookings we plan the menu around the timing, not the other way round.
Below is how we approach company events in Varna: which formats work for which headcount, what the offer covers, when to book, and why service timing decides more than it appears to.
What corporate catering includes
The offer covers the whole event, not just the food:
- Preparing the menu from fresh produce, in the galleon's own kitchen;
- Delivery to your location, office or hall;
- Set-up and presentation of the table;
- Service by our team throughout the event;
- Clearing up afterwards.
The consultation and the quote are free, with no hidden fees. Drinks, equipment hire and decoration are added only if you want them, and they appear clearly itemised.
Formats by headcount
Small team, up to 20
A seated dinner or a shared platter in the middle of the table works here. The format is more intimate and leaves room for conversation, which suits a single department, a leadership group or marking a result in a close circle.
Mid-sized team, 20 to 60
The most common case. A buffet or stations work better than a seated dinner, because they let people move and talk instead of staying pinned to their seats. The menu is planned so the queues do not bottleneck.
Large event, over 60
Here logistics take the lead: how many stations, when each dish goes out, how it is topped up without a break. For events of this size we recommend planning earlier and, where possible, viewing the venue in advance.
Why service timing is decisive
At a company event the menu is half the job. The other half is when it appears. If dinner is served while a presentation is running, the food goes cold and nobody appreciates it. If it is late, guests get hungry and attention drops.
So we ask about the programme in advance: when the formal part is, when the breaks fall, how long the free part will run. The kitchen adapts to that rhythm, so the food comes out exactly when it should, hot and at the right moment.
There is a subtler calculation too: how much food per person, and at which point. At a corporate event appetite shifts with the programme. Early on, while the formal part is running, the bites are light and picked at between conversations. The more substantial food comes afterwards, once people relax. If the whole menu goes out at once, half of it goes cold unappreciated. So we release it in waves rather than piling it onto the table in one go.
The menu and special diets
The base is seafood and Mediterranean cooking, the same as in the restaurant: fish off the hot plate, mussels, prawns, squid, starters and salads. The line-up depends on the season, because the produce goes through the same inspection and what is fresh decides the menu.
At corporate events a mixed crowd is the rule, not the exception. So we make sure the menu works for everyone: vegetarian, vegan and allergy-conscious dishes are part of a normal booking, as long as you tell us the numbers and requirements in advance.

On the galleon or at your place
You have two options. You can bring the team to us, on the ship at Kraybrezhna Aleya, with five halls across three levels and a view of the sea, which is often added value for a company event. Or we bring the kitchen to you: at the office, in a conference room or at a venue of your choosing.
We cover Varna and the surrounding region. For events outside the city we agree terms individually, with the logistics built into the quote.
The choice between the two usually comes down to the occasion. For something more formal, or something meant to impress, the galleon does the work by itself, because the view and the atmosphere are part of the experience. For a working dinner or team building near the office, off-site catering saves the team the logistics. Both get exactly the same kitchen.

When to book
For smaller company dinners around two weeks is usually enough. For larger events, and particularly in December when Christmas parties fill the calendar, we recommend a month or more in advance.
If you are on a shorter timeline, write to us anyway. Weekdays and months outside the peak season give more room than you would expect.
From our kitchen
A company event has a quirk we learned long ago: it is remembered for whether it ran smoothly, not only for how it tasted. That is why corporate bookings get as much attention on timing and logistics as on the menu. Good food served at the wrong moment ruins the evening.
The ship's logic applies here too: the fish goes through the same inspection, the season counts, and we do not promise a particular species all year round. Better that the menu reflects what is genuinely fresh than pretend everything is available always.
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book corporate catering?
For smaller dinners around two weeks is enough. For large events, and especially in December, we recommend a month or more, because dates fill up quickly.
Do you work in an office or only at a venue?
Both. We bring the kitchen to the office, a conference room or a venue of your choosing, and you can also gather the team on the galleon itself. We cover Varna and the surrounding region.
Can you cater for a mixed crowd and special diets?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-conscious dishes are part of a normal booking. What matters is telling us the numbers and the requirements in advance.
Which format is best for a large team?
Above 20 people, a buffet or stations usually work better than a seated dinner, because they allow movement and conversation and do not bottleneck the service.
Conclusion
Corporate catering comes down to three things: a format matched to the headcount, a menu that works for a mixed crowd, and service timed to the programme of the day. The rest, from delivery to clearing up, is our job.
Planning a company event? Ask for a quote and we will come back with a specific menu and price. Have a look at the menu too, and if your event is a different shape, it is worth reading what our catering includes in general.
